SUPPLIES SPECIFICALLY FOR CLASS PROJECTS 20% AT FLASH

Are you a quilter, embroiderer or a clothes sewist?  Did you ever want to make a bag and were just too intimidated and didn’t know where to start?  Are you worried your machine can’t handle it? Yeah …. Me too.

I started out quilting, moved to embroidery, and then clothes.  But I watched these awesome sewists on Facebook making all these glorious bags.  And I wanted to do it but I was intimidated, didn’t know where to start, and was scared to death that I would “kill” my machine.  But guess what, I got over my intimidation, jumped in with both feet and my machine is still sewing right along!

Join me on September 12th and let’s make the Baker Street Bag.  And maybe I can answer some questions you might have about branching out and using other materials …. Not just quilt cotton.

Supplies

  • 3/4 yard of exterior fabric
  • 3/4 yard of lining fabric
  • 1/2 yard of By Annie’s Soft and Stable (Soft and Stable is a 1/8” thick, foam sew-in interfacing; one of my testers also recommends automotive headliner fabric in place of the Soft and Stable; you can also substitute a needled fleece fusible interfacing for the Soft and Stable, such as Pellon #TP971F Thermolam Plus fusible interfacing
  • 2-1/2 yards of Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex fusible woven interfacing (or medium-weight fusible interfacing)
