Day 1 - Goin in Circles: Create a beautiful table runner for any season by sewing circles and petals. We will learn to sew perfect circles in multiple ways and learn how to use the Circular Sewing Attachment.
You can make a single flower for a small table mat or placemat or multiple and join them to make a runner or a larger table mat. This project may sound complicated, but it is actually very easy and is perfect for any sewing level or any sewing machine. If you have a sewing/embroidery machine, we will learn some tips for ways of using features of these machines. If you have a regular sewing machine you will learn to enhance your sewing machine skills.
So, let’s go in circles and make something beautiful for your table!
Day 2 - State of the Scraps: You have scraps, I have scraps, we all have scraps.
Bring out those scraps that you have been saving for this most wonderful project. After finishing this project for yourself, you surely will have more scraps left over to make some wonderful gifts for others. This project is all about creativity and what looks good to you, there are no rights or wrongs. For those of you who have scraps waiting for the right project, this is that perfect project to use some of them up. So, let’s make some truly amazing things with those scraps.
We are going to work with standard products and then add in a few you might not have used before. You will start with an outline of a state or two of your choice and a lot of scraps and we will finish with a piece that will make a perfect pillow top or wall hanging. We will do some not-so-straight line quilting using our walking foot. Or as an alternative, you might want to drop your feed dogs and do a little free motion. Any option you choose, your project is going to look fabulous.
This class is for any sewing machine. Focusing on creative sewing skills.
