Quilted Sneakers 2-Day Class

Join Nancy Larkin in Sarasota on April 22 & 23 from 10:30 - 4:30 for this 2-day class!

Make your own unique, one-of-a-kind, custom pair of sneakers! Sewing steps are straightforward and suitable for most sewists. Quilted sneakers are not a pieced patchwork project with lots of small pieces. Students will first assemble a quilt sandwich and sew a straight-line quilting stitch with your walking foot. Then you will cut out the sneaker shapes and attach a bias binding. Finally, you will add colorful eyelets and hand sew the quilted upper and tongue to the sole. The goal of the class is to have one sneaker completed and the other started for you to finish at home.
