Discover how easy, fast, and fun serger quilting can be - without the need for a bobbin. Sherry affectionately refers to the L890 as the “endless bobbin” machine.
Lemoyne (Lemon) Star Block: Create a 16” x 16” block while learning straight-stitch piecing, quilting, and binding entirely on the L890 serger. Sherry will also demonstrate creative finishing techniques including prairie points, custom piping, and unique flanged bindings for a truly customized look.
Supply List: You will be using our machines for this class, and we will provide a curated fabric kit. Please bring your normal sewing tools and generic supplies.

Instructor Bio:
Sherry Mozley is a nationally recognized quilting educator and designer with extensive experience teaching across a wide range of quilting techniques and technologies. In early 2025, she was invited to join the BERNINA Events Team as a National Educator and Trade Show Representative for the Q-Series Longarms, with plans to also join the BERNINA Domestic Team later this year.
Sherry teaches both manual and computerized longarm quilting using BERNINA Q-Series systems with Q-matic and Art n Stitch, and she develops and teaches innovative classes on the BERNINA L 890 serger. Her teaching background spans both machine and hand quilting, offering students a comprehensive and approachable learning experience.
Sherry’s award-winning quilts have been juried into prestigious exhibitions such as the Houston International Quilt Festival and the Mancuso World Quilt Show. She writes her own patterns for classes and collaborates with local quilt shops to design exclusive patterns highlighting new fabric.
