Making this classic block has never been faster or easier. The GO! Carpenter's Wheel 18" Finished Die cuts all the pieces for a single block in just one pass through the cutter, and specialized dog-ears make sure every piece fits together just right as you build the block.
How to Die Cut 5-Color Carpenter's Wheel Blocks
For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller. Tip: This die is specially designed to cut one complete 5-color 18" block in one pass through the cutter.

Fabric Color 1 – 16 A shapes: Cut three 23⅛" × 2⅞" rectangles. Place right side up over shapes A to cut. (There will be two extra shapes.)

Fabric Color 2 – 8 A shapes: Cut one 23⅛" × 2⅞" rectangle. Place right side up over shapes A to cut. Cut two extra shapes by placing a 9⅛" × 2⅞" rectangle over two A shapes.

8 C shapes: Cut two 5½" squares. Place right side up over shapes C to cut.

16 D shapes: Cut four 6⅛" × 3¼" rectangles. Place right side up over shapes D to cut.

Die Tips
- With some fabrics, a thread or two may remain where die blades meet – simply snip with scissors.
- Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to the edge of the shape, not the edge of the die board.
- Use good quality fabric to reduce stretch.
- Always test cut one shape before cutting many to confirm fabric orientation.
- Clean lint and threads with an adhesive roller or die pick. Blades never need sharpening.
