Giucy Giuce fabrics

Giuseppe Ribaudo — known in the quilting world as Giucy Giuce — grew up in Long Island, NY, the first and second generation Sicilian-American grandson of a seamstress who taught him to sew before he knew what a quilt was. That grandmother, and the home where he learned to stitch, remain the foundation of everything he designs. He discovered quilting in college while studying musical theater, found his community on Instagram, and built a following around a design sensibility that's unmistakably his own — bold color, geometric structure, painterly depth, and a fearlessness with the color wheel that sets his work apart from anything else on the market.

His debut collection Quantum launched in 2018. Three years later came Nonna — his tenth collection, and a direct homage to his grandmother and her home. Now designing with FreeSpirit Fabrics, Giucy continues to push color and geometry into territory that feels both modern and deeply personal. He teaches quilting classes for shops and guilds across the country, and his fabric shows up in some of the most striking quilts being made today.
