How to Die Cut Classic Uppercase Letters

• For fusible appliqué, apply fusible web to the wrong side of the fabric, following the manufacturer's instructions, before cutting.
• Cut strips 3¼" wide across the width of fabric. Subcut each strip into widths ½" wider than the selected letter, place on the blade, and cut.
• Cut approximately 16 letters across the width of 40" fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 176 or more letters.
• Note: Some letters are asymmetrical and need to be cut with the right side of the fabric facing up. Do not fanfold fabric for asymmetrical letters.

Die Tips

• With some fabrics, a thread or two may remain where die blades meet – simply snip with scissors.
• Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to the edge of the shape, not the edge of the die board.
• Use good quality fabric to reduce stretch.
• Always test cut one shape before cutting many to confirm fabric orientation.
