This die cuts 5" squares that finish at 4½", and it’s also the exact size needed for creating your own Charm Pack squares. Pair it with AccuQuilt’s Mix & Match system to build accurate 9" finished quilt blocks with ease.

How to Die Cut 5" Squares

AQ Cutting Mat Required: GO! Cutting Mat 6" × 12" (55112)

• For the best results, place fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller.
• Cut 10½" strips across the width of fabric.
• Fanfold into 5½" widths and place on the die, covering the blades.
• Cut 14 squares across the width of fabric.
• One yard of 40" wide fabric yields approximately 42 squares.

Die Tips

• If a thread or two remains where blades meet, simply snip with scissors.
• Some blades sit at an angle—align fabric to the shape's edge, not the die board edge.
