Adding Fabric to Rope Bowl - Sarasota - June 2026
Join Lisa Curt in Sarasota on Wednesday, June 3rd from 10:30-4:00
In this class, you’ll learn how to add fabric into both the base and walls of a rope bowl—an easy and natural next step after the basics. You’ll prepare and attach fabric at the center of the bowl, secure it cleanly into the rope coil, and build smooth, even sidewalls as the bowl takes shape. You’ll also explore wrapping rope with fabric, shaping as the bowl grows, and finishing the rim with a simple knot, bead, or single handle option. This class focuses on control, clean construction, and confidence so you can continue building on these techniques in future projects.
Take Home Project: One or two round rope bowls (approximate size 7-9” w x 2” h, not including handles). (Most complete two bowls in class.)
Pre-Requisite: Intro to Rope Sewing Beginner Class, or prior experience sewing rope projects. You should be comfortable operating your sewing machine and adjusting basic stitch settings.
Requirements: A sewing machine capable of zig zag stitch. Additional materials will be listed on the supply list.
