The shape and quality construction of the Stiletto and Pressing Tool enables you to hold your fabric pieces in place.  This comes in extremely handy when attaching bindings.  The small needle-like pointer allows you to keep the tip of the stiletto in place right up to the needle, something your fingers just can't do.

The tip of the stiletto is 'sand ground', meaning it is a but rough.  This roughness prevents the point from sliding off the fabric and helps you to grab, pull, and hold the fabric pieces in place.
