Duster/Robe Garment Class
Join Jane Hinrichsen in Sarasota on Friday, May 29 and Friday, June 5
Join us for two Friday sessions! We will assemble a duster/robe in 3 coordinating fabrics.
The pattern features:
- Kimono-style, set-in sleeves
- A band at the hem and sleeve cuff
- A trim band at the front opening
- A belt tie
You will learn flat felled seams and French seams for a non fray edge to the inside of your garment.
OPTIONAL: 2 hour cutting out session. If you are unsure how to cut out garment pieces, then this add-on session is for you, for no extra charge. We will review how to choose your size, how to measure straight of grain, and the parts of fabric when sewing garments. (Make sure your fabric is prewashed.)
More basic instructions will follow once you have registered.
Skill Level: This course is for the advanced beginner (for example, you made a garment many years ago and have been quilting several years).

- Main fabric: 3 to 3 1/4 yards (depending on your size)
