Learn how to transform simple rope into a functional fruit basket you’ll be proud to display and use every day. Add integrated side handles and decorative machine stitches while exploring design options to make the project your own. The techniques taught can be applied to a variety of future rope basket projects.
Take Home Project: One completed fruit basket or tray with integrated side handles. Finished size is approximately 10” wide x 2-3” high (not including handles) and will vary depending on your design choices, machine type, and shaping preferences. Time permitting, optional smaller tray may be started.
Pre-Requisite: Intro to Rope Sewing Beginner Class recommended, or prior hands-on experience
sewing rope projects.
Requirements: Sewing machine capable of zig zag stitch; presser foot that accommodates zig zag
stitch. Extension table for your machine is recommended.
