Intro to Rope Bowl Sewing - Naples August

Join Lisa Curt in Naples on August 7th for an introduction to rope bowl making.

Come learn the art of rope sewing and create beautiful, functional pieces in this beginner-friendly class. We will cover the core basics of rope sewing—tools, materials, starting a flat coil, shaping rounds, and building simple walls. You will create two key rings, two coasters, and one small bowl to hold the coasters. You will also experiment with decorative stitching, wrapped rope accents, and easy finishing techniques. By the end, you will understand how rope behaves under the needle and feel confident continuing on your own. Expect hands-on sewing, plenty of guidance, and a relaxed, creative atmosphere.

Pre-Requisite: Students must have a working knowledge of their machine and have basic sewing experience. Requirements: Sewing machine capable of zig zag stitch required, along with a presser foot to accommodate the zig zag stitch.
